Lindokuhle spent a long time working in customer service and sales, with a brief stint in recruitment along the way, and while those years gave him a solid professional foundation they also gave him a growing certainty that he wanted something different, specifically the kind of control over his career, his schedule, and his life that traditional employment had never quite offered him, with the ultimate goal of working independently with both local and international clients.
In 2024 he came across ALX through a content creator on TikTok and took the leap, enrolling in the Virtual Assistant programme and throwing himself into the training with the kind of commitment that comes from knowing exactly why you are there, actively mastering administrative skills, learning how to manage remote workflows, and building the professional confidence and readiness needed to operate in a fast paced international market.
After completing the programme Lindokuhle successfully pivoted his career by combining everything he had built in sales and customer service with the VA skills he had just acquired, and that combination gave him a competitive edge that opened the door to international remote work in a way that neither background alone could have managed. He sees this as the beginning of something much larger, with plans to continue expanding his skill set through further ALX programmes and to leverage the alumni network as he grows toward the independent, internationally connected career he has been building toward all along.
